JOSÉ-MARÍA-TRÉNOR-ATIR

José Mª Trénor

FOUNDER & CEO

Jose María is the Founder and CEO of ATIR Hos- pitality, a company founded in 2003 that owns and operates urban hotels in Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia. The portfolio of ATIR includes 8 hotels under operation: 2 franchised hotels with Marriott (Barcelona), 1 franchised with Hilton (Madrid) and 5 hotels managed under its own brand Praktik (Barcelona); as well as 2 projects under construction: a student housing in Barcelona and 1 luxury hotel in Valencia. Jose Maria is Partner at Reinvest Capital.

Prior to his 20+ years in the hospitality industry he worked for JP Morgan both in Madrid and London. José María holds a Business Administration Degree from the University of Webster (Viena).

ATIR’s hotels have received relevant recognitions and prizes such us the Global Gold List 2022 given to the Cotton House Hotel by CN Travel and the prize from Caixabank for hosting +2,000 people during the pandemic in ATIR’s hotels in Barcelona.

Maraya Perinat

PARTNER & COO

Holding a PMD in Business Administration and Management from IESE Business School University of Navarra and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, she is a skilled hotelier and project mana- ger with over 20 years experience in the industry. Her expertise lies in assessing multiple factors to determine each hotel’s brand and concept and in defining, implementing and supervising an excellent level of operations.

With a passion for the hospitality industry, she has been instrumental in opening and overseeing nine hotels over the past  two decades.

Before this, Maraya worked in a worldwide leading strategic consulting company for a few years.

Maraya Perinat

Irene Castañeda

CFO

Irene is the CFO of ATIR Hospitality. Prior to joining Atir, Irene was CFO at Nuñez i Navarro Hoteles (Group with 13 hotels under management and yearly revenue of 55M€) and Member of the Board of Directors. Previously, she was Financial Controller at Grupo Pacífico and Accounting & Compliance Manager at Global Payments and Caixabank. Before that, she was a Senior Auditor at the Auditing firm BDO.

Graduated in Economics from the University of Barcelona, Irene completed a Postgraduate Degree in Financial Auditing at UPF and an Executive Master’s in Financial Management at EADA. With over 20 years of experience, she began her professional career in auditing firms, specializing in real estate and hotel groups.

Icíar Loring

Chief Investment Officer

Iciar Loring is ATIR Hospitality Chief Investment Officer. She has over 15 years of experience in M&A, Strategy, Expansion and Asset Management in the hospitality and retail sectors. Before joining ATIR, she served as Head of Investment Mana- gement and Business Development at Makro, a subsidiary of Metro Group. Prior to that she wor- ked in the Asset Management & Development departments of BK Partners (now RLH Properties) and NH Hotel Group, where she executed hotel transactions for an aggregated value of c. 800M€ (more than 40 hotels).

She started her career as an analyst in the M&A department of E&Y and holds a double degree in Law and Business Administration from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas – ICADE (E-3).

Sergio Triviño

PROJECTS & BUILDINGS DIRECTOR

In his 25 year career, Sergio has lead more than 30 hotel construction and renovation projects in Spain and Italy.

At ATIR Sergio has been in charge of the renovation of the AC Victoria Suites hotel and the Cotton House hotel, both franchised with different Marriott brands, as well as the Praktik Essens hotel. Currently, he holds the position of Director of Projects and Construction at the 5-star Palacio Centelles Hotel and the Drassanes Student Housing.

Previously, Sergio served as Director of Works & Maintenance Coordination at AC Hoteles, covering various locations including Rome, Genova, Turin, Milan, Brescia, Vicenza, Lucca, Padua, Bologna, Florence and Livorno.

He holds a Degree in Architecture at Polytechnical University of Cataluña and a Degree in Construction Engineeering at La salle  (ETSALS)

Yago Espinosa de los Monteros

Acquisition Director

Yago is Acquisitions Director at ATIR Hospitality in Iberia. He has +8 years experience in investments in real estate through his previous roles at Heitman and ICAMAP Advisory.

At Heitman, he was in charge of investing across several asset classes including hotels, residential, retail and offices in Continental Europe and the UK. He also lead macroeconomic, political  and factor risk management analysis.

At ICAMAP Advisory, Yago lead the launch of sub-fund ICAMAX and managed an investment portfolio across all asset classes in Continental Europe and the UK. Previously, he was in Zadig Asset Management’s investment team.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Bristol.
